Publicly available Images

NB: this information is maintained manually and may be out of date with the latest NeCTAR Images. The best source of information for current NeCTAR Images is the Glance registry, and the Images section of the dashboard.

Please read the instructions for particular images before launching them:

Adding Images

  1. Non NeCTAR originated images should have a subpage and maintainer/publisher field with contact email.
  2. If comments/instructions are too crowded or lengthy use a subpage
  3. Subpages use this format to link to subpages
    • ID field [[Image_Catalog:XXXX | XXXX]]
    • Instructions field [[Image_Catalog:XXXX | Instructions]]
    • naming convention use Image_Catalog:XXXX, XXXX=OpenStack ID
  4. Subpages editing
    • add this line at first edit and save to import the template {{subst:Image_Catalog}}
    • logout and test that image specific page is world viewable.

Updating/Removing Images

  1. Mark Image as deprecated in the status column.
  2. Update Image permissions to private.
  3. When no instances are using the image:
  • delete Image from glance
  • remove Image Catalog entry.
